Sigma Beta Call To Arms Donations

1. “Call to Arms” Donation:
This is a substantial financial commitment that we request of you. If there is one contribution that you give to Sigma Beta, while you are alive, this is it. This contribution will be used to ensure that we have enough money to finish the project and have adequate reserve money to preserve the house into the future. Depending on the amount of donations collected we will also use money to pay down debt as soon as possible. While we realize that we are in tough financial times, we have structured these donations to be made either in an upfront lump sum or spread out over three annual installments. Below are the different levels of a bold donation that you can make. A plaque in your honor or anyone you designate will be located at the site, leaving a lasting legacy to your generosity. Teams of Beta friends are encouraged and welcome to“syndicate” a donation:

Front Columns: $10,000 each
Front Stairs: $20,000
Corm’s Kitchen: $35,000
Parking Lot: $15,000
Chapter Room: $25,000
Living Room: $50,000
Front Foyer: $15,000
Dining Room: $30,000
Slate Roof: $100,000

We will accept checks made out to the Sigma Beta Alumni Association and directed to our Alumni Treasurer, Brother Bob Webster ’80 at 999 Stovall Boulevard NE, Atlanta, GA 30319.

2. “Phistos Kai” Donation:
We will welcome a donation of any amount. We realize that Beta Brothers represent a mix of varying financial means, yet we all can contribute in some way to honor the Beta bond. We need all Alumni Beta’s to contribute in some way no matter how small. Please take the time to make a donation directly through Sigma Beta’s website via our secure PayPal payment portal. Follow the easy instructions on the website. Or, we will accept checks made out to the Sigma Beta Alumni Association and directed to our Alumni Treasurer, Brother Bob Webster ’80 at 999 Stovall Boulevard NE, Atlanta, GA 30319. A complete list of checks received will be posted on the Sigma Beta website (www.SigmaBeta.com).

Also, we will obviously welcome goods and services from new dishes, silverware, pots & pans to lawnmowers, big screen tv’s foosball table and of course Pepto Bismol for the Sir Burgers! We also want to recognize the incredible contributions already made by numerous brothers to Beta during this troubling year and years past. You have stepped up and everyone in the Beta Task Force is immensely grateful. We would not have been able to financially support our troubled house without your generosity.

3.“Buy Your Room” Donation:
This is a $5,000 donation that commemorates the years that you lived in your room at Beta. We will have a plaque on each door with your name on it (along with any other donors for that room), and the years that you lived in the room. Contact your roommates and make sure that they donate also! We hope to have a long list of names on these plaques for every room in the house!

4.“Beta For Life” Donation:
Our PayPal account allows for annual/monthly or weekly recurring contributions made to Sigma Beta’s controlled Alumni bank account. Considering the size of our alumni base, if all Beta’s stepped up and donated only $10 per month, or $120 per year, we would more than cover our annual debt service and improvement needs into the future. PayPal is a secure payment service that is extremely easy to set up with a credit card directly from our website and you can contribute periodically to secure Beta’s future financial needs without lifting a finger after the first payment! It doesn’t get any easier than that!

5. Annual Beta Dues:
Beta alumni are also asked to remain an Alumnus in good standing by paying the annual dues. This is going to be a requirement of all future graduating brothers. We will do a much better job in the future than in the past tracking where our college graduates are going and what they are doing after they leave Beta in the next step of their journey through the real world. Annual dues can also be paid through PayPal and can be made on a recurring basis for future years. Alumni who are current on the dues have voting rights and are invited to the annual meeting. If you want to be heard, please pay your dues.
